Shaopeng Jiang

Doctoral Student

I'm a Ph.D. student at EPFL’s Reconfigurable Robotics Lab, where I design shape-changing soft robots inspired by origami for applications in wearable tech, medical devices, and personal robotics. I previously earned a Master's at Johns Hopkins University, focusing on medical soft robotics and their interaction with AR technologies and haptics, following my undergraduate studies in advanced design and manufacturing at the University of Michigan - Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute. I care about promoting open, collaborative, and reproducible science. In my free time, you will find me traveling around the world, discovering the beauty of nature.
