Alexander Schuessler

Doctoral Student

Alexander is a PhD candidate at RRL, working on reconfigurable interfaces for effective human-robot interaction.

He has obtained both his Bachelor and Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany), while staying at Aalto University (Finland) as an exchange student. Alexander’s work intersects soft robotics, soft sensors, and machine learning-based control. He is excited about the potential impact of reconfigurable interfaces on medical applications.

When not in the lab, Alexander is working hard to entertain and impress his Strava followers while cycling, running, and hiking in the Alps.
